How to play
- Click a card to flip it over and reveal its picture.
- If the two cards you flip in a row match, the pair stays face up.
- If they don't match, they flip back over after a moment.
- Once all 16 cards (8 pairs) are matched, the game ends and shows your total tries and time.
Why memory games are good for you
Card matching (also called Concentration) has been a beloved memory-training game around the world for a long time. It exercises your working memory β briefly holding a location in mind and recalling it later. Try to lower your number of tries as you train your brain.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the fewest tries possible?
In theory, 8 tries (if you remembered every pair's location from the very start), but realistically, anywhere from 12 to 20 tries is a solid result.
Is the card layout the same every time?
No β the 16 cards are shuffled into a new random layout every time you click "New Game" or load the page.
