How does this game work?
Two players take turns dropping discs into a grid of 7 columns by 6 rows. Whoever first connects four of their own discs in a row β horizontally, vertically, or diagonally β wins. Commercialized in the 1970s, this classic dropping-disc format has since become one of the most beloved two-player board games worldwide.
Rules
- Two players take turns placing red and yellow discs.
- Click a column and your disc drops to the lowest empty spot in that column, pulled down by gravity.
- Connect four of your own color in a row β horizontally, vertically, or diagonally β to win.
- If the board fills up with no winner, it's a draw.
Strategy tips
The center column is generally considered the most valuable square, since it's part of more horizontal, vertical, and diagonal lines than any other column, so claiming it early is an advantage. It's also important to stay alert and block your opponent before they can create an open three-in-a-row.
